glassworks at holmegaard, and we have otto brown...1962. pierre lutkin's carnaby...1968. and christer holmgren also as an element of the carnaby range, 1969. that's wonderful. and you think of that name on the holmegaard ones-- "carnaby." it just says it. the end of the '60s-- these possibly the most famous single pieces of late '60s glass. if you think of the red london bus and the swinging london and all that carnaby really kinda says it all, doesn't it, really? well, it does, yes. i can see it now. but the one that really caught my eye is this little beasty. really? that's a very nice thing. what's the story of that one? a friend of mine she actually bought it at a car boot, thought i might like it, and posted it off to me, and it got it and was so very disappointed 'cause i thought it was broken and not the typical mdina piece. so it's taken a bit of a backstage at home.

i bought two chrome and brown leather chairs today. what attracted me to the chairs were the chrome frame and the brown leather upholstery on it. you all through? sold, $80 in the front row buyer 687, is that right? i think i did fantastic! (laughing) i bought them for a very good deal. i've seen them go much higher in previous auctions. my son has a new house, and i thought these chrome chairs would look nice in a modern home. i hope my son will enjoy it very much. i'm sure he will. is it okay if i look at your photo albums? yes. thank you. i always try to look at photo albums everywhere i go. i've found some great photos in photo albums. check out this photo. this is an old photo of a whole woman fencing team. how cool is that? and then this one back here is great. i mean, you have probably a kid who was a soldier, amputee probably from the civil war. unbelievable, but again, i'm going to see what i can find out there. we have time to go shop, so we're going to go shop. what is it, evel knievel? yeah, evel knievel lunchbox. oh, yeah.

it's straight out of tom brown, isn't it? absolutely. tom brown. the fag system was a public school term for... barbaric stuff. when you acted as a servant to a senior boy. polished the older boy's shoes. or did, but they don't anymore. he must have been a very interesting man because i don't know many schoolboys who could draw this beautifully. and the detail is phenomenal. it must've taken hours. he must've done something terribly bad. but these are scenes from arabian nights are they? i think so. studying for o levels. i think it must've been something like that. and the intricate scene going on in the background. a bit of beardsley isn't it? beardsley, dulac. but he was a great illustrator. he illustrated gulliver's travels and a number of others. okay, this one i love. it's got a great sense of humor. the sheik with his fingers in his ears, listening to one of his wives or trying not to listen to one of his wives. but the color's very vibrant and very strong. i just think this is just... i love it. it is absolutely stunning. the thing about wh

the brown labeled one is the 30-weight is the ground. so orange in the sky, brown on the ground. we changed tensions with the 12-weight thread because it is a heavier thread. heavier threads increase tension so we need to loosen up the top tension a little. if you put this on the bobbin people don't like to mess with that bobbin tension at all. they steer away from that. i would also like to point out that we have a chart. you brought a chart that we're going to put on the web at fonsandporter.com if you go to the tv section. you can look at this chart and what information is there. the recommendations the tension everything is on that one chart for each individual thread that we're talking about. i want to say really quick for those who are watching and saying, ah, tension the whole big issue. just as an interjection we're talking about machine quilting here. if you're a piecer or if you're piecing in your life most of the time you do not need to be messing with your tension from day to day. if your machine something funky is happening and you're getting thread goobers and your
